Your Highly Sensitive Child:
A Workshop for Parents and Teachers on June 20th
Webinar: taught online and by phone with presentation visuals, video, audio
Take the quiz at: http://www.hsperson.com/pages/child.htm

Is your child sensitive to almost everything...scratchy clothes, funny tastes, loud noises, a change of routine? A vivid dreamer, distressed by scary movies or fearful of new situations? Prone to hurt feelings, upset by criticism, and eager to do things just right?
This workshop is an opportunity to meet other parents of Highly Sensitive children and to hear more about the trait of High Sensitivity. In her book "Highly Sensitive Child" Elaine Aron helps readers to understand that this trait is normal (15-20% of the population). With understanding and care, highly sensitive children can be happy, healthy adults and bring their gifts forward to the world. The world needs the gifts of these wonderful kids!
Focusing on the knowledge in Elaine Aron's book, we will explore how to help HSC's thrive in a not-so-sensitive world;how to make school and friendships enjoyable.
Facilitator: Sarah O'Doherty M.Ed. a highly sensitive person herself who has worked with children extensively in education settings. Sarah also is a practitioner at The Resiliency Center: A Healing Arts Collaborative where she coaches individuals and groups to balance their energy, body, mind and spirit. www.portalofgrace.com
